How far are Zaandam and Purmerend from ADE venues?

Zaandam is about 12 minutes by train from Amsterdam Centraal, and Purmerend is about 20–25 minutes. Trains run late into the night, so you can get back after the parties.

Is it cheaper to stay outside Amsterdam during ADE?

Yes. Central Amsterdam hostels often double in price during ADE, while pods and dorms in Zaandam or Purmerend stay more budget-friendly. Direct bookers also get 10% off, discounted tours, and free cancellation.

Do you have a curfew during ADE?

No. There is no curfew and reception is open 24/7, so you can come back whenever you like—perfect for late ADE nights.

What is included in a pod or dorm bed?

Every bed has a blackout curtain, personal reading light, charging sockets (USB + EU), hooks, a shelf, and secure lockers. Free WiFi is available throughout the hostel.

Can I check in late at night or store luggage?

Yes. Thanks to 24/7 reception and our Digital Check-in system, late arrivals are no problem. You can also store your luggage if you arrive early or leave after checkout.

ACCOMMODATION PRICE

Zaandam:

Single sleeping pods €450. Prices are per 30 days per person and excluding €5,51 per person per night city tax. Payment must be made in advance are non-refundable.

YOUR POD

The dorms are mixed of male and female. Subject to availability, you can be placed with close friends. Each pod comes with;

CLEANING

Our dorms are cleaned daily. Your pod will be cleaned once weekly, including new linen and fresh towels by our professional cleaning company.

There are no laundry facilities within the hostel. The closest launderette is just around the corner.

WIFI AND STUDYING

Complimentary fast WiFi is included in the rate and is accessible throughout the hostel, including your pod. Scattered throughout the hostel you will find a place to study, read and socialise in the communal areas.

FOOD & DRINK

A large communal kitchen with fridge, coffee machine and vending machines for the late night snacks. There is also a social lounge to chill out with your book or board game.

There is a bus stop right outside the hostel. The bus is a direct bus route to Amsterdam and surrounding areas. It takes approximately 45 minutes to get to the VU campus from Purmerend by public transport. A beautiful bus ride through the Noord-Holland countryside lets you experience a side of the Netherlands you may normally not get to see.

The approximate cost of transit for a month (2 times, 5 days a week) is around 200 euros.
